HemisFair park, located in downtown, was built to host the 1968 World’s Fair and includes the 750 foot tall Tower of Americas. The park also boasts the Majik Theater, UTSA’s Institue of Texan Cultures and the incredible Mexican Cultural Institute. Families often visit the Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Sea World San Antonio theme parks, as well as the Schlitterbahn and Splash Town water parks. San Antonio also happens to be the home of our nation’s first them park, Kiddie Park. Sports enthusiasts will love San Antonio’s strong support of the 4-time NBA Champions the San Antonio Spurs. There is also the annual Valero Alamo Bowl. It is only a short drive into the Texas Hill Country, on the north side of San Antonio, to outdoor recreational areas. The Government Canyon State Natural Area is just one of the many parks in the area that provide for plenty of hiking trails. When the summer warms up, there are places to go tubing and river rafting.

San Antonio is a beautiful city with a lot to offer to those interested in city living. Its currently a buyer’s market, and downtown real estate is only going to appreciate. New buyers are choosing to live down town in mass because of the convience of city living. San Antonio’s continued dedication to improving the downtown area is resulting in a significant growth in residential population downtown.
